We were excited to be part of Lafayette Day held at nearby Thornbury Farms. This event kicked off the national bicentennial celebration of Gen. Marquis de Lafayette’s grand tour of the country as the “Nation’s Guest.” On hand were historical author Bruce Mowday, who has held events at the Painter House, historical interpreters, and many other groups like ours who hope to preserve and promote the rich history of our area.
